Exciting news, we’ll be soon merging the resources of the current 3FL and Gamespace gaming networks to make one even bigger, mega awesome gaming network. This will mean that all of the cool and nifty things that iiNet and Westnet customers get as free quota from the 3FL Gaming Network will soon be making their way into the hands of Netspace customers across Australia.
What does this mean for Gamespace users?
Over the coming weeks all of the current Gamespace gaming servers that you know and love will be re-named 3FL. We currently have a bunch of brand spanking new servers on order that we will be migrating all of your favourite Gamespace servers onto to provide higher performance and even some new games that 3FL gamers currently enjoy playing, with all current Gamespace volunteer admins being invited to continue their excellent work as part of 3FL.
But it doesn’t just stop there, all of the current 3FL gaming servers and other resources (including Steam!) will be unmetered for existing Netspace customers, so you’ll get access to all of the current 3FL gaming servers in Adelaide, Sydney and Perth without it burning your quota! We will also be migrating over all of the active forum accounts from the current Gamespace forums into the 3FL forums so that you don’t have to go through the hassle of signing up to yet another forum, with your forum profile data and all important post counts also being kept intact.
What does this mean for 3FL users?
Current 3FL users will now have access to a bunch more gaming servers that will be Freezone’d for iiNet and Westnet customers, giving you even more servers to access with low pings and high performance. The addition of the current Gamespace servers to 3FL will also give you access to some established game communities that 3FL currently doesn’t have, including CoD4, BF2, AoC, PVKII and others.
So exciting times ahead, stay tuned as we provide further updates as we progress through the migration process!
UPDATE: MIGRATION COMPLETE
The merging of the 3FL and Gamespace forum users has now been completed. If you currently have an active user on the Gamespace forums, you’ll now be able to login and use the same details on the 3FL forums. We’ve migrated over basic profile information including join dates and post counts, as part of this process we have turned off forum signups and now post creation on the Gamespace forums.
If there was a duplicate username found during the migration process, the following actions were performed:
- If the duplicate username and email address matched, the two profiles were merged with the post counts being added together
- If the duplicate username and email address did not match, a “1” was appended to the username
If you find that your original username doesn’t appear to work, try appending a “1” to your username. If your username has ended up with a “1” on it and would like to change it, simply send a message to “Frozen Hell” once logged into the 3FL forums with details and it’ll be fixed up. If you can’t log into the 3FL forums at all or experience other issues, please drop an email to support@3fl.net.au and we’ll investigate what went wrong.
